Oil on Canvas (circa 1981) - At the time I made this painting I was studying the work of Rene Magritte and reading the book Godel, Escher, Bach at the same time. This painting is an homage to both. The painting was used as a “prop” for several performances of a piece called “Push, Pop, Stack” at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and as a part of The Performers’ Workshop Ensemble.
